Initiated in May 2007 during a workshop at the Mapping Festival in Geneva, Æther9 is an experiment in collaborative realtime storytelling through the use of networked video transmission. Developed by an international group of visual artists and collectives working in a dozen of different locations and communicating primarily through the internet, Æther9 intends to become a functional framework for collaborative video performance.

JiHyun was born in Seoul and spent her childhood in Japan, where she was exposed to many unique animation films. She studied architecture and interior design at Yonsei University in Korea. Mieke Gerritzen was born in Amsterdam. In the early nineties Gerritzen was one of the first designers involved in the development of digital media in the Netherlands. She makes designs for all media and works with many different designers, writers and artists. She has a couple of successful publications on her name: Catalogue of Strategy, Everyone is a Designer, Mobile Minded and Next Nature. Gerritzen is head of the design department Sandberg Institute, the post-graduate design course in Amsterdam. Gerritzen is founder of All Media Foundation. Monsieur Moo’s work is based on collaborations with others, dancers, musicians and even artisanals practices. Monsieur Moo attemtps through these collisions to provocate interferences, conflicts between his own universe and the one he connects with. The codes - either social, urban, cinematographic or mytholigical - are telescoped. These severals interferences give birth to the ‘nonsense’ poetry, in opposition with any moral or didactical intensions.

Ricardo Nascimento lives in Linz (Austria), works as artist, multimedia developer and producer. Graduated in International Relations and Multimedia Design by Art Center SENAC. He investigates body-environment relations focusing interface development and autonomous adaptative systems for interactive installations and hybrid environments.
In 2004 and 2003 he created and produced an amount of cultural and edutainment exhibitions and events. He received Prize Public Opinion, Prize ECO of American Trade Bureau of São Paulo.
