American Hypnosis

This video is a parody of American cultural values as seen thru its mass media industry. Hypnosis is the political state of the American public in love with itself. Apathy, instant gratification, narcissism, consumption and the ever-present notion of individuality thru conformity are themes explored in this work. My intention is to create a decorative device that acts as a hypnotizing wheel, beckoning the audience to conform to the beautiful society where eating steak, NASCAR racing, bomb throwing, web-cam masturbation, religion and politics are one and the same. |
