Alessandro Capozzo is a media designer and software artist. He was born in 1970 and lives and works in Milan, Italy. He studied musicology at University and also pursued his own interest in composition and electronic music on a less formal basis. His personal research currently is focused on developing generative and interactive aesthetic programs using the software system, Processing, as main tool. Most of his web based work are collected in his own site http://www.abstract-codex.net. Recently some of his work has been selected for international festivals and exhibitions.

Abstract-codex is a container of web based computational artworks. Main project focus is exploring and sharing the possibilities of coding as an expressive/emotional medium. In this vision the code has an ambiguous nature: it is both the material which digital works are made of and creative process. So algorithms and programming strategies are at the same time works bricks and micro formal organization. This research try to reach a personal language through an idiomatic use of the medium and a personal conceive of the content.
