Born upside-down in 1968 on the day the Soviets invaded Czechoslovakia. Produces hybrid works – films, animation, audio, installations. Curates The Audible Picture Show, a touring presentation of audio artworks in dark cinemas. Film awards include First Prize at Transmediale (Berlin); Kodak Award for Animation at San Francisco Art Institute Film Festival; Special Award for Film at the Split Festival of New Film. He has had retrospectives at Festival International du Film de La Rochelle; L'Alternativa (Barcelona); Art Institute (Chicago) and ICA (London).
