Iolini is an artist who works with music sound and image on equal terms. He has composed many works for radio and is currently making video pieces using the same approach. He mixes investigative journalism, sound ecology, storyboarding and conventional notated composition - using songs, spoken word, field recording, improvisation and electro acoustic manipulation to make complex audio/visual works that might equally be documentary or fiction. He works, initially, like a journalist: researching, collecting materials, conducting interviews.
