Inspired by the notion of 'non-places' (marc augé) and soap opera 'the days of our lives', pdoa examines various forms of public display of affection in both public and private spaces in the contemporary city.
Switching between staged and real-life situations, various scenes take place in locations we cross/inhabit/frequent regularly (a supermarket, a green zone, an appartment, a streetcar, an airport escalator, etc.), until the line between fiction and fact, universal and trivial and, above all, public and private becomes blurred.
People float around from one place to another, on an endless trip, wallowing in  hyper-romantic areas where spaces have gotten confused, and borders disappeared. Every place becomes a non-place, disconnected from any historical identity. Intimacy and lack of thereof: is it affected by our modern spaces.
