Hock Hiap Leong is a short film that pays tribute to this a 55-year old coffee shop that has been an incessant inspiration to many people on Armenian Street. On 31st March 2001, urban re-development saw the demolishing of this epitaph of history. This short film illustrates a filmmaker’s reminiscence and affection for this coffee shop where he grows up with. Though its physical presence can no longer mark its stake at that site, the familiar scent of its coffee remains to perpetuate and every little detail in this coffee shop continue to linger vividly in his mind.
