Max Hattler

Filmmaker and media artist Max Hattler has shown his award-winning experimental films at over 250 festivals and exhibitions worldwide, including Annecy Animation Festival, Animafest Zagreb, Resfest, Image Forum Festival and the European Media Art Festival. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2005, he has performed live visuals across Europe, the US and Japan, including London’s Institute of Contemporary Art, Media Art Friesland Festival, The Animation Show, and SuperDeluxe Tokyo. His abstract political short film Collision won several prizes, including the LUX Award for Best Experimental Film. Dazed and Confused described him as one of 'three of the world’s most exciting young animators', next to PES and Model Robot. Max lives in London where he works as a director with animation studio Bermuda Shorts.
