Performing Pictures is the Sweden-based artist-duo Robert Brecevic & Geska Helena Andersson. In our work, we elaborate with the montage of cinematic imagery in combination with responsiveness. The ambition is to do simple and straightforward tales that rely on silent action, a dramatic shift in posture, a certain gesture and a relation between one or several characters. Following some representational ideas around cinematic expression we work with responsiveness in moving imagery in conjunction to seamless assembly of several video clips both in parallel and in series in order to invoke 'realistic' depiction of scenes that are 'magically' influenced by the viewer. Robert Brecevic (born 1971). An artist and a film maker who works with enhanced video in order to examine the on-screen choreography of player characters. Currently working at the Interactive Institute, as an artist and developer. Geska Helena Andersson (born 1975). A kaospilot and cineaste, who works as creative director and producer within the arts, film and media.
