Festival focuses on narrative or abstract art projects which combine image and sound , communications and networks, from video art works, documentaries and short films, digital animations, media installations, url and network projects, objects, interactive and robotized objects, open source applications, audiovisual performances, mobile technologies, electronic music, advanced technologies in art practice...

Festival consists of the competitive programme which takes place in the venue of Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad as well as various accompanying programmes which, depending on the current productions and conception, happen on the different locations in Novi Sad and elsewhere.

Competitive selection is curated by Selection Committee which consits of Videomedeja Art Board members and Art Academy professors. Authors who submit appropriate entry form could be nominated for the competitive selection, their works have to be produced in last 2 years. Festival receives from 400 to 1000 entries and presents up to 100 works within the programme.

International Jury selects the best works for the special mentions and the following awards:
Sphinx - monetary prize for the best video
Bogdanka Poznanović Award - monetary prize for the best media installation or url/software project
Ocassionaly, festival audience selects one work for the Viewers choice Award – certificate.

The Festival is distributed and promoted in forms of screenings, presentations, promo catalogues and DVD releases in country and abroad.
